Events in our lives might leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and from what we truly want.
Therapy takes place in a caring, safe and confidential space and it involves having the therapist’s undivided attention, acceptance and empathy.
In the counselling process the person accounts for the difficult situations they face. Their pain is acknowledged. They have space to be themselves, to understand their needs, to make sense of things, so that they can develop a clearer view of where they stand, what choices are available and what resources they have at their disposal in order to move forwards.
The first step is to schedule an initial session where we can meet each other. I will be very interested in hearing more about you, your background and your reasons for seeking help. You can tell me anything that you think is important so that we can start gathering ideas about what goals you would like to set up for yourself.
The initial consultation is helpful for us to start developing a safe, collaborative and positive working alliance. I can answer any questions you have about how we will work together, fees, confidentiality, cancellations and what to expect from counselling. If at the end of this first session we both feel working together would be beneficial we can then decide on a mutually-agreeable time slot for your therapy sessions.
I offer counselling on the following basis:
If you feel that you would benefit from talking confidentially about any concerns you might be experiencing, whatever they might be, please contact me for more information or to book a free initial consultation.
